Nail Fungus
Early to mid-stage fungal nails that haven't fully taken over but are embarrassing and getting worse. ToeFx stops the infection in its tracks and allows healthy, clear nail to grow back in — making it an ideal option before the problem becomes harder to treat.

Toenail fungus is a common infection caused my microscopic fungi that live in warm, moist environments. You can pick it up by walking barefoot in locker rooms, pool areas, or public showers, or by sharing nail clippers or footwear.
The fungus gets under the nail and slowly causes it to turn yellow or brown, become thick, and crumble. People with diabetes, circulation problems, or a weakened immune system are more likely to develop it. It rarely goes away on its own.

Your doctor can usually recognize nail fungus by looking at it, but appearances alone aren’t always enough. To be sure- especially before starting oral medication- a small sample of the nail or the debris underneath it is sent to a lab for testing.
This confirms that it’s actually fungus (not just a damaged nail) and identifies the type, which helps choose the most effective treatment.

Treatment depends on how any nails are affected and how severe it is. For mild cases, prescription antifungal nail polish or liquid applied daily can clear the infection, though it takes months.
For more widespread or stubborn cases, oral antifungal pills (terbinafine) taken for 6-12 weeks are the most effective option—about 70-80% of patients are cured.
We also offer ToeFx photodynamic light therapy, which uses UV light to kill the fungus without medication.
In severe cases the nail may need to be removed.
